William R. Hays

  William R. Hays, 73, of Hornbeck, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, in
Shreveport, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 3, in the Oak
Grove Baptist Church of Hornbeck, with the Rev. Wayne Reid
officiating. Interment was in the Oak grove Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. William Hays; one stepson,
Drexel Boyd of Pasadena, Tex.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Murlene
Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, and Guy Hays of Houston, Tex.; three
sisters, Mrs. Grace Williams of Sulphur, Mrs. Ann Taylor of Lake
Charles, and Mrs. Ethel Braly of Tyler, Tex.; and three
grandchildren.

  The Masons served as pallbearers.
