All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Arthur Hicks Arthur Joseph Hicks, 66, retired cotton gin operator and merchant of Boyce, died at 2:50 p.m., Wednesday, in the Alexandria Veterans Hospital. Hicks, a native of Lake Charles, was born Oct. 10, 1897. He was a member of the Boyce Masonic Lodge No. 273, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Shaw Hicks; one daughter, Mrs. W. C. Sepulvado, whose husband's mother, Mrs. Walter Sepulvado, lives in Zwolle; one son, Captain Arthur Joseph Hicks of Fort Polk, La.; and two grandchildren, Margaret Catherine, and Walter Joseph of Boyce. Services were held at 12:45 p.m., last Friday, in the Methodist Church of Boyce, with Rev. Jack Pinnin officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Pineville. Mr. and Mrs. Granville Martinez and son, Eddie, Zwolle, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Martinez, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Martinez; and daughter, Lisa, Zwolle, and Ann Martinez, Shreveport, all attended the services.
