Bertha Lee Hughes

  Bertha Lee Hughes, 72, of Pelican, died Tuesday, April 4, in a
Shreveport hospital, following a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were Thursday, at 10:30 a.m., in the St. Mary's
Catholic Church, in the Rambin Community, with Father Yves
Robitaille officiating. Burial was in the Rambin Cemetery, under
the direction of the Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, Roy M. Hughes of
Pelican; one step daughter, Ruth Hesser of Mansfield; one
brother, Virgil Hesser of Pelican; one sister, Grace Elliott of
Robeline; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
