Mary L. Hughes

  Mary L. Hughes, 51, of Hornbeck, died Thursday, Oct. 18, in Byrd
Memorial Hospital in Leesville, after a long illness.

  The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, in the first
Baptist Church of Hornbeck, with the Rev. Roy Dowden officiating.
Burial followed in Beckom Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson
Funeral Home of Leesville.

  Survivors include four sisters, Beatrice Beebe, Zelia Ferguson,
and Lillie Seagrave, all of Hornbeck, and Gladys Norrie of Dover,
Del.; and two brothers, Clarence Hughes of Lake Charles, and
George Hughes of Longview.
