Hughes, 56, were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 17, at St. John Baptist Church in Zwolle. Rev. Harrison Field Sr., pastor, officiated. Interment was in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Zwolle, under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home. Leola Lynch Hughes was born on June 17, 1938, to Mr. Willie, and Mrs. Olar Mae Sibley Lynch, in Clarks, La. Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lynch; and a sister. Mrs. Hughes accepted Christ in her life in 1947. Mrs. Hughes was a dedicated, gifted servant in music for many. Mrs. Hughes departed this life on Thursday, January 12, 1995, at Sabine Medical Center, Many. Survivors include her widower, Hoover Lee Hughes of Zwolle; adopted son, Kelvin Penegar Hughes; special daughter, Hattie of Garland, Tex.; one stepdaughter; three stepsons; two sisters; six brothers; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; one uncle; four aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
