Rev. Joe Hext

  Services for the Rev. Joe Hext, 74, of Hornbeck, were held
Monday, Jan. 8, with burial in Oak Forest Cemetery in Kurthwood.
The Rev. Mr. Hext died Saturday, Jan. 6, in St. Francis Cabrini
Hospital in Alexandria, after a short illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dovie Woods Hext of Hornbeck;
two sons, ?. D. Smith of Iraan, Texas, and Joe Hext Jr. of
Houston; nine daughters. Audrey ?usque, Aubrey West, and Dorothy
Browning, all of Deweyville, Texas, Faxon Lea Ross of Singer, and
Thelma Semons, Dovie Curtis, Donna Semons, Evin Lee, and Deloris
Hext, all of Hornbeck; 26 grandchildren; and 19 great
grandchildren.
