The Rev. Robert Leverette officiated, assisted by the Rev. Gayle Dean. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. Mrs. Hight died Friday, December 19, 1986, in Pleasant Hill, after a brief illness. She was born in Red Bay, Ala., and had lived in the community of Pelican for five years. She is survived by her husband, Ernest R. Hight of Pelican; one son, Glen M. River of Alexander City, Ala.; one daughter, Myra R. McCormick of Dadeville, Ala.; four step daughters, JoAnne Fisher of Pelican, Linda Early of Mansfield, Willie Fay Fox of Provencal, and Judy Anthony of Florien; one step son, Robert Hight of Jennings; nineteen grandchildren; three brothers, A. D. Johnson of Pleasant Hill, Bill Johnson, and Bob Johnson, both of Shreveport; two sisters, Mattie Richardson of Big Springs, Texas, and Elnora Crawford of Waverly, Ala.
