He was a native of Pelican, and he resided with Judy and Mack Anthony for the two years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Hight; and two grandsons, Don Burkett, and Brad Durr. Funeral services were held Friday, Mar. 4, at 2 p.m., in Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel in Mansfield, with Rev. Paul Carral officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. He served in the Armed Services, and he was a retired bull dozer operator. Mr. Hight is survived by two sons, Robert G. Hight of Pelican, Thomas C. Hight of Natchitoches; four daughters, JoAnn Fisher of Pelican, Linda Early, and Judy Anthony of Woodville, Tex., and Faye Fox of Provencal; four sisters, Ona Grafton of Dallas, Lois Johnston of Gladewater, Tex., Sybil Wilborn of Pelican, and Ester Rasco of Mansfield; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Woods, Glenn Johnston, Thomas Garrett, D. N. Bell, Talley Brown, and Jack Kelly. Honorary pallbearers were Norman Burkett, Brad Anthony, Charles Hight, Shane Anthony, Robert Lewis, Randy Early, Clint Anthony, James Durr, and Michael Hight.
