Miss Bertha Helen Hoagland

  Miss Bertha Helen Hoagland, 92, died Sunday, May 2 at IHS #l in Many.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Warren Meadows
Chapel with interment following at Many Cemetery.

  Miss Bertha graduated from La. Normal College (now Northwestern State
University) and received her Master's Degree from Stephen F. Austin
University. She began her teaching career at Pisgah school, but the
majority of her teaching was done at Fisher School. She retired after
39 years.

  Survivors include one nephew, John A. Hoagland of Many; a dear
sister-in-law, Mrs. Willie Hoagland of Many ; and many friends. Miss
Hoagland was preceded in death her brothers, C. A. "Chet" Hoagland
and R. J. Hoagland; one sister, Vera Hoagland Small; and parents,
John A. and Katherine Hammill Hoagland.
