Hoagland, age 58, were held at 10 a.m., last Saturday, at the First Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. J. W. Matthews officiating. Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Funeral Home. The Masonic lodge had charge of the rites at the cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ida Hoagland; mother, Mrs. J. A. Hoagland; brother, R. J. Hoagland; and sister, Miss Bertha Hoagland, all of Many; and one sister, Mrs. C. C. Small; and a nephew, John Hoagland, both of Haughton. Pallbearers were Jack Lucius, J. M. Jordan, Marion Corley, J. Ruel Boone, W. H. Pearson, W. E. Lafitte, Judge Wm. H. Ponder, and Coleman Derrick. Mr. Hoagland passed away last Friday, after a lengthy illness. He was associated with the lumber industry for a number of years., He was a Shriner, member of the El Karubah Temple, Shreveport, and a member of the F&AM lodge 411 of Many, member of the Methodist Church, active in civic affairs, and past president of the Louisiana Fox Hunter's Association.
