Mrs. Betty Hawkins

  Mrs. Betty Hawkins, 87, of Chestnut, died Saturday, Nov. 18,
in the Natchitoches Parish Hospital, after a long illness.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19, in the
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Chestnut, with the Rev. Napleon
Aulds officiating, assisted by the Rev. B. Tingle.

  Survivors include two sons, Virtis Hawkins of Chestnut, and
Wiley A. Hawkins of Zwolle; two sisters, Mrs. Phebe Hawkins of
Homewood, Miss., and Mrs. Molly Arrendier of McGee, Miss.; four
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four
great-great-grandchildren.
