Jesup Baptist church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, with Rev. G. L. Scott and Rev. Hall Prewitt officiating. Interment was under the direction of Warren Funeral Home. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Ettie Higgins of Many, son, Truly James of Vowells Mill, daughters, Mrs. Viola Rivers of Alexandria, Mrs. Allie Pilgrim of Dallas, Mrs. Opal Bush of Shreveport; Mrs. Vera Lee Broadway, of Robeline; Mrs. Georgia Lee Clanton of Newport, R. I., brother, John Higgis of America, Oklahoma, sisters, Mrs. Lillie Gibson and 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Davis, Donald Mitchell, Harold Knippers, Curtis Leggett, O. V. Leggett, and Lavern Mitchell. There were military services at graveside.
