All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Mrs. Amber Haskins Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 16, at 3 p.m., in the Marthaville Baptist Church, for Mrs. Amber Mae Haskins, 62, of 7028 Union St., who died at 3:05 a.m., Thursday, July 11, in Doctors Hospital, after a long illness. Rev. Clarence Berley of Marthaville officiated, and burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Davis, Charles Davis, Kenneth Rawls, Ralph Shows, Tommy Chandler, and Reggie Schmerheim. A native of Marthaville, Mrs. Haskins, had lived in Shreveport for 20 years. She was a retired beautician, and a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Woodrow Haskins Sr.; her mother, Mrs. Mattie Eason of Marthaville; three sons, Gene B. Haskins, George S. Haskins, and Woodrow Haskins Jr., all of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Boyd Raines of Natchitcohes, Mrs. George Rawls of Marthaville, and Mrs. Margie Hartgrove of Shreveport; four brothers, Clifton Eason, and Luther Eason, both of Marthaville, Bill Eason of New Orleans, and Jack Eason of Marthaville; and ten grandchildren.
