"Bill" Higgins, 74, were at 10 a.m., Monday, July 28, at Wellman Chapel, Rev. Albert Langley officiating. Visitation was on Sunday, July 37, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at Wellman Funeral Home. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park. He died Saturday, July 26, at Highland Hospital. Mr. Higgins was a retired civil service employee, a native of Shreveport, a member of Ingleside Baptist Church, F and AM No. 403, Cedar Grove, U. S. Air Force Reserve, BAFB Squadron 917, and school patrolman at Werner Park Elementary for 10 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Higgins, Shreveport; one son, Rev. Bernard Lee Higgins, Converse; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Howard Reynolds, J. B. Avery, M. Nissen, Roy Bennett, Carl Riley, E. W. Doubleday.
