All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hawkins Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hawkins, 55, of Zwolle, who was killed in a traffic accident Saturday, Sept. 9, west of the Arizona-New Mexico line on U. S. 66, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, at the First Baptist Church in Zwolle, with the pastor, the Rev. Earl George, officiating. Interment was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Shreveport. She is survived by her husband, Wiley Hawkins, who is still in an Albuquerque, N. M. hospital; a son, Willis L. Hawkins of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Dollar of Suisun City, Calif., and Mrs. Jerline Matthews of Zwolle; four sisters, Mrs. Victoria Vinzant, and Miss Treaneda Hasley, both of Zwolle, Mrs. Susia Vinzant of Chestnut, and Mrs. Virginia Friday of Woodville, Tex.; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Henry Peacock, Quinton Brandon, Jack Anderson, Cecil Tooke, Randall Parrott, and Calvin Jones. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Procell and daughters of Silsbee, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tyson and children of Woodville, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Vinzant and children of Flatwoods, Harold Vinzant of Hot Wells, Mr. and Mrs. William Weaver of Chestnut, Mr. Ernest Weaver and daughter of Shreveport, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Vinzant, Miss Helen Vinzant, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Floyd, Virtis Hawkins, all of Chestnut, Mrs. Jimmie Brown of Campti, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Wise and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clois Williams and family, all of Saline, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hawkins of Campti, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Smith of Jonesboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown and children of Shreveport.
