Officiating was Rev. E. M. Lofton, pastor of Gospel Light House. Burial was at Forest Park West. Mrs. Hood died Friday, March 28, 1986, in Shreveport. She was a native of Center Pointe, La., a former resident of Red River Parish, La., and a resident of Shreveport for 30 years. She was a homemaker, and Pentecostal. Survivors are her husband, Mr. C. E. Charlie Hood, of Shreveport; one son, John H. Smith of Anacoco; two daughters, Mrs. Jodie Loyd, and Dorothy LeGates, both of Shreveport; four sisters, Olean LaCaze of Coushatta, Odessie Thompson of Colfax, Lillian Bonnett of Campti, and Doris Todd of Noble; one brother, Sammie L. Barker of Robeline; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Smith, Ray Anderson, David W. Todd, Chris L. Loyd, Douglas Loyd, Jimmy Ray, and David Ray Todd.
