Mr. Hyde drowned Friday afternoon, when he fell from his boat on Cross Bayou, at Monterey. He had been on a hunting trip. Services were held at 2 p.m., at the Pisgah Baptist Church near Many, with the Revs. H. H. Tibbetts, and Larry Doughty officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday. A prayer service was held at 10 a.m., Sunday, in the home of Mr. Hyde's mother, Mrs. Elva Beck of Jonesville. Mr. Hyde was a native of Many, and had lived in Jonesville for the past four years. He was an employee of Mid-Continent Oil Supply at Natchez, Miss., and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Many. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lynn Hyde of Jonesville; three daughters, Angela Renee Hyde of Jonesville, and Vickie Diana Hyde, and Teressa Hyde, both of Jasper, Texas; three brothers, J. R. Hyde, Allan Hyde, and Grady Hyde, all of Jonesville. Pallbearers were Ed Grigalunas, Halvor Peterson, Lambert Peterson, Billy Wagner, Larry Chevallier, Chuck Gibson, Johnny Mott, and Dorman Tanner.
