The Rev. Hardy Beauboef, and Rev. Mac Walker officiated. Mr. Hatfield was a logger of Noble, La. He served in the U.S. Navy, and attended the Shady Grove Baptist Church of Noble. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret E. Hatfield of Noble, La.; one son, James Edward Hatfield of Little Creek, La.; one stepson, James F. Cates of Noble, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Judy Frances Oxley of West Monroe, La.; three brothers, James Frank Hatfield of Tampa, Fla.; Lucius Hatfield, and Willie Hatfield, both of Jena, La.; two sisters, Irma McLendon of Paris, Tex., Ila Sanson of Jonesville, La.; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were as follows: David Graham, Joe Paul Sanson, Alvin Sanson, Bryan Nugent, Allen Graham, Virgil Barnes. Honorary pallbearers were: Joe Cecil Hatfield, Elzie Smith, Jimmy Graham, and Murl Graham.
