Hatcher, 79, of Converse died Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mansfield after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hatcher was born in Shelbyville, Texas and lived in Converse for 35 years. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse. The Rev. David Lane, pastor of Union Springs Baptist Church in Converse officiated. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Hatcher of Converse; one daughter, Mary McCoy of North Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Hicks of Converse and Marie Cassell of Greenville, Miss.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by her husband, Amos F. Hatcher and one brother, J. W. Pritchard. Pallbearers were Derrell, Rand Cassell, Ken Sepulvado, David Noles, Ronnie Hicks and Dale Hicks.
