Funeral services were conducted Jan. 18, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of McAllen. A Rosary was recited the previous night at 7:30. Officiating was the Rev. Father Ray Wilheim, under the direction of Ceballos Funeral Home. Burial was in Valley Memorial Gardens, McAllen, Tex. Mr. Hatcher was born April 15, 1886?, at Hatcher, La. He was a former resident of Many, and had resided in McAllen more than 50 years. Survivors include his widow; two sons, John L. Hatcher, Jr. of McAllen, Tex., William E. Hatcher of Anaheim, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Charlotte) Walker of Yuba, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Pickett, Sr., and Miss Inez Hatcher; one step brother, J. B. Vandegaer, and one step sister, Miss Sarah Vandegaer, all of Many, and eight grandchildren.
