Hatcher, 89, of Mansfield, were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Union Springs Baptist Church of Converse. Bro. Alfred Mitchell (Retired) officiated, with Rev. Francis Smith, pastor of Union Springs Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Union Springs, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Hatcher passed away on Jan. 16, in Mansfield. Mr. Hatcher was born in DeSoto Parish. His occupation was a painter. Mr. Hatcher was preceded in death by his wife, Feriene N. Hatcher; and one son, Ernest Ray Hatcher. Survivors include two sons, James (Sonny) Hatcher and wife Joy of Converse, and Leo R. Hatcher and wife Zela of Grand Cane; one daughter, Elizabeth M. Moore and husband Robert W. of Converse; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five nieces; and six nephews. Pallbearers were Al Harris, Ray Powell, Gerald Williams, Buddy Love, Billy Murphy, and Steve Procell. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Bossier, Junior Bossier, Bernice Bossier, Bernard Bossier, Henry Hatcher, and Eugene Hatcher.
