Charlie M Howell

  Mr. Charlie M. Howell, 88, of Vowells Mill, died on Wednesday,
May 29, at 6:50 a.m., in Natchitoches, after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 30, at 3 p.m., at the
New Cedron Church, near Vowells Mill. Burial was in the Becky
Murry Cemetery. His grandsons served as pallbearers.

  Survivors include two sons, Johnson Howell of Vowells Mill, and
Ernest Howell of Bloomington, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Elle
Craig, and Mrs. Mae Parker, both of Vowells Mill, and Mrs.
Bernice Chism, and Miss Joyce Howell, both of Houston; fifteen
grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.
