Mrs. Jewel Irene Hill

  Services for Mrs. Jewel Irene Hill, 70, of Converse, were held
at 2 p.m., Friday, May 15, at the Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield. The Rev. Garthel Burr officiated, assisted by the Rev.
Albon Hall. Burial was at Benson Cemetery in Benson.

  Mrs. Hill died Wednesday, May 13, 1987, in Shreveport, after a
lengthy illness. She was a longtime resident of Converse, and was
employed as a nurse.

  She is survived by one son, Donald Hill of Converse; two
daughters, Sue Cortinez of Logansport, and Gwen Wyatt of
Shreveport; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; two
brothers, Bill Shaver, and Harrison Shaver; and one sister, Mrs.
Jettie Smith, all of Coushatta.
