Rev. Walter Stephen Haley

  Funeral services for the Rev. Walter Stephen Haley of Lumberton,
Tex., were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m., at the Union
Baptist Church of Belmont.

  The Reverends John Oldham, Coyle Stephenson, and Johnny Garrett
officiated. Burial was held at the Belmont Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Rev. Haley died Sunday, Sept. 20, at Beaumont Medical and
Surgical Hospital in Beaumont, Tex.

  Survivors are his wife, Hazel Lay Haley of Lumberton; two
sisters, Irma McCormick of Zwolle, and Katie Haley of Belmont;
one brother, Rudolph Haley of Belmont, many nephews and nieces.

  Pallbearers were Thomas Lester, Laverne Haley, Wayne Skinner,
Guy Brown, Worth Lester, Phillip Haley, Jimmy Haley, Greylan
Davis, and Allen Matheny.
