A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 17, at Berean Baptist Temple in Keithville, under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Randy Johnson, pastor of Berean Baptist Temple. He was assisted by Rev. J. Durell Tuberville, Chaplain of Shreveport Fire Department. Everyone who knew Candy, knew that she was a free spirit, who had a special gift of touching peoples lives. She could talk her way in or out of any situation. She was loved, and will be missed by many. Candy was a senior nursing student at NSU, and worked as a Nurse-Tech at Lagniappe Hospital. Her family will be honored at the NSU Pinning Ceremony, and will be given her honorary Degree of Nursing. Candy is survived by her husband, Ronnie Holloway; two sons, Blake, 6, and Cody, 3, of Stonewall; her parents, Randy and Nona Hood; and brother, Mike Hood, all of Stonewall; her grandparents, Pansy Hood of Shreveport, Oscar and Lona Ford of Florien; and a host of family and friends. The family requests that memorials be made to a fund set up for Blake and Cody Holloway. Contributions can be made at any Bank One location, Account #1102168953.
