Mrs. Vestal M. Hale

  Mrs. Vestal M. Hale, 78, of Hornbeck, died Sept. 3, 2002, in
DeRidder. She was retired from the U. S. Postal Service, and was
a member of the Town Council of Hornbeck for many years. She was
a lifelong member of Pisgah Baptist Church, and she graduated
from Pisgah High School.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sept. 8, at Pisgah Baptist
Church in Toro Community, with interment following at Pisgah
Cemetery.

  Survivors include two daughters, Sheilda Arnold of Hornbeck, and
Debbie McCork of Marshall, Mo.; six grandchildren; and five great
grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hale.
