Essie P. Halbert

  Mrs. Essie P. Halbert, 90, of Zwolle, died in Houston, Tex., on
Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 4:10 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Mrs. Halbert is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. R. Hackney of
Huntsville, Tex.; two sons, James A. Halbert, and Maurice
Halbert, both of Houston, Tex.; 9 grandchildren, and 13 great
grandchildren.

  Graveside services were conducted at the Halbert Cemetery near
Milam, Tex., on Friday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Basil Halbert
officiated. Burial was under the direction of the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Richard Smith, Phillip Halbert, David Halbert,
Charles Peterson, and Clint Hackney.
