The Sabine Index - Rev. Thomas Jefferson Holliday

  21 Mar 1952 - Funeral services for the Rev. Thomas Jefferson
Holliday, 79, were held at Bayou Scie Methodist church at 10 a.m.
Sunday. Rev. Henry Bowden of Shreveport read the rites, assisted
by the Rev. A. D. St. Armant of Zwolle.

  Pallbearers were Paddy Barr, John Strong, R. L. Gay, Joe
Rains, Fred Ingram and O. W. Barr.

  Rev. Holliday died Saturday in a Shreveport hospital.
He was a life-long resident of Sabine parish, but had held
pastorates in several Louisiana cities. Rev. Holliday was retired
at the time of his death.

  Survivors include his widow; two brothers, R. E. Holliday,
Jr., Winnsboro, Larry Holliday, Good Pine, a sister, Mrs. S. H.
Porter, Shreveport.
