All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Dewey Robert Hilton Dewey Robert Hilton, 57., of Jacinto City, Tex., died at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Tex., on Saturday, August 14, at 1 a.m. Mr. Hilton, a native of Sabine Parish, was a member of the Toro Masonic Lodge No. 253, F&AM, and the Boy Scouts of America, Northshore Council in Jacinto City, Tex. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Leach Hilton, Jacinto City; one son, Rick Hilton of Jacinto City; his mother, Mrs. Ida Hilton of Hornbeck; five sisters, Mrs. Ellie Brown, Mrs. Hattie Coburn, Mrs. Audrey Chance, and Mrs. Joyce Chance, all of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Della Laurence of Japan; one brother, Alex Hilton of Hornbeck; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 16, at the Howard Glendale Chapel, Jacinto City. The Rev. LeRoy "Skip" Smith officiated. Funeral services were held at Prewitt's Chapel Church in Hornbeck, on Tuesday, August 17, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Buster Leach officiated. Burial was in the Prewitt's Chapel Cemetery, with Masonic graveside services conducted.
