Triump Baptist Church in Abbeville, La. Mr. Holden died at 11:45 p.m., Friday, March 5, 1993, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Alexandria, following a brief illness. Mr. Holden served in the U.S. Army, was a mail truck driver in Houston. After retiring, he moved to Abbeville, La. He is survived by his first wife, Lillie Mae McClanahan Holden of Dallas, Tex.; his present wife, Eleanor Saddler of Abbeville, La.; one daughter, Alice Faye Holden Ward of Converse, La.; one son, Leslie Holden of Dallas, Tex.; one stepson, Willie E. Wilson of Abbeville; four sisters, Alice Holden London of Pleasant Hill, Ethel Holden Dixon of Houston, Tex., Clittie Mae Holden of Detroit, Mich., and Jane Holden of Los Angeles, Calif.; five brothers, Nathan Holden of Catuna, La., Vernon Clinton, and Clarence Holden, all of Alexandria, La.; Lawrence Holden of Los Angeles, Calif.; stepmother, Leona Holden of Alexandria, La.; his mother, Lacy Morris Holden; his dad, Clarence Holden; his daughter, Vikki Marie Holden McGruder; three brothers, and three sisters all preceded him in death. He had 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
