Lula M. Helmke

  Services for Lula Mae Helmke, 72, of Baton Rouge, were held at 1
p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, in Drewett Funeral Home Chapel in
Mansfield, with Dr. George A. Ritchey officiating. Burial
followed in Highland Cemetery.

  Mrs. Helmke died Friday, in a DeQuincy nursing home, after a
lengthy illness.

  Survivors include one son, James H. Hollingsworth of Baton
Rouge; two daughters, Bobbie Richardson of DeQuincy, and Annie
Evans of Baton Rouge; six brothers, L. B. Springer, Sam F.
Springer, and Johnny L. Springer, all of Converse, and Amos C.
Springer, Eldon Springer, and Colvin Springer, all of
Mooringsport; two sisters, Annie Ruth Simmons of Mansfield, and
Dannie Goldfield of Columbia, S. C.; eight grandchildren, and one
great grandchild.
