William Blanton Holmes, Sr.

  Services for Mr. William Blanton Holmes, Sr., 78, of Pleasant
Hill, were at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, at Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church. The Rev. Adrian Pater officiated. Burial was in
the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett
Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  He died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in
Shreveport. He is survived by one son, William Blanton Holmes,
Jr., of Premont, Tex., one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Blankenship of
Shreveport; one brother, Paul Holmes of Longstreet, La.; three
sisters, Miss Ethelene Holmes, Mrs. Harold Luse, and Mrs. Enid
Ferguson, all of Shreveport; five grandchildren, and three great
grandchildren.
