Willie Holmes

  Funeral services for Mr. Willie Holmes, 72, of Negreet, were
held Saturday, September 23, at Antioch Baptist Church.

  Burial followed in the Negreet Cemetery. Thomas Mortuary was in
charge of arrangements.

  Mr. Holmes passed away, Sunday, September 17, at Sabine Medical
Center.

  He leaves to mourn his death, four daughters, Mrs. Evelina
Wiggins, and Mrs. Rosie Jasper of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs.
Vera Thompson of Houston, Texas, and Delois Pegues of Many; two
sons, Mr. Willie Holmes Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Mr. John
Holmes of Negreet; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ora Hurst Holmes;
one sister, Mrs. Helen Tyler of Los Angeles, California; 23
grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; and a host of
nephews, relatives, nieces, and friends.
