Holland, age 51 years, were conducted at the First Methodist Church of Many last Saturday at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. Kelly Fitzgerald, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. J. W. Matthews, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Interment was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. H. B. Holland; a son, Jan; and daughter, Jane; parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Holland of Vidor, Tex.; three brothers, Warren Holland, Vidor, Tex., Boaman, and Henry S. Holland, Port Arthur, Tex.; six sisters, Mrs. Hallie Williams, and Mrs. Olivia VanVooras, Lake Charles, Mrs. Wilhemina Wylie, Mrs. Olive Wylie, Vidor, Tex., Mrs. Irene Calhoun, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. B. L. Davis, Rogers, Ark. Pallbearers were Wallace DeLatin, Truman Nichols, R. G. Risor, R. L. Lowrey, C. B. Byrd, and J. M. Petty. Mr. Holland, 'Shorty' as he was known to his many friends, was stricken last Thursday evening, while coaching a team of the Little League, and died soon after arrival at the sanitarium. He was active in civic affairs, was a member of the First Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Masonic Lodge.
