All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Clyde Thomas Hemby Services for Mr. Clyde Thomas Hemby, 74, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Leo Beck, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, and Rev. Howard Childs, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in forest Park West Cemetery. He died at 11 p.m., Sunday, July 11, at V. A. Hospital in Shreveport, after a long illness. Mr. Hemby, a resident of Shreveport 35 years, was a retired maintenance man for Highland Hospital, and a member of the Caddo Heights Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the D. A. V. Mr. Hemby is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vicie Hemby of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Foster of Shreveport, and Mrs. Betty Rains of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs. Lora Smith; and one brother, Jack Hemby, both of Shreveport; four grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
