Rev. Johnny Hernandez officiated. Interment was in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hampton passed away Saturday, October 22, 1994, in Zwolle. Mr. Hampton was a native of Brookhaven, Miss., and also served in the WWII, U.S. Army. Survivors are his widow, Cricket Hampton; five daughters, Lucy Severson of Oak Hill, Fla., Rita Parrino, and Gwen Johnson, both of Magnolia, Miss., Debra Ellender of Sulfur, and Beverly Franks of Houston; four sons, Richard Hampton of Magnolia, Miss., Frank Hampton of Holden, Richard Keith, and Lloyd Keith, both of Sulphur; one sister, Jessie Lee Coats of Pumpkin Center; five brothers, Harold Hampton of Houston, Walter Hampton Jr. of Amelia, Carl Hampton of Denham Springs, Alex Hampton of Pumpkin Center, and Sam Hampton of Houston; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
