All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Naomi Humphries Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Ruth Humphries, 52, of Beaumont, texas, formerly of Lake Charles, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 19, in the Hammer Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles. Burial was held in Highland Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ray Hudley of Lake Charles officiated. Mrs. Humphries died in her home Thursday, July 17, of a sudden illness. A resident of Lake Charles for over 25 years, she moved to Beaumont about 4 years ago. While living in Lake Charles, she was employed at Steven's Clinic, Thompson Nursing Home, Charity Hospital, and St. Patrick's Hospital. In Beaumont, she worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Norvin G. Humphries; one son, David J. St. Dixler, Jr. of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Cobb of Alexandria, (formerly of Many), and Judith Renfro of Garrison, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Marrs of Henderson, Texas, and Mrs. ? Box of Garrison, Tex.; two brothers, Thomas Daniel Byerley, and John S. Byerley Sr., both of High Island, Texas, and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Donald Witherwax, Larry Lay, Jackie Shaheen. Glenn Johnson, Robert E. Howard, and Dexter Hebert.
