Lonnie J. Hines Sr.

  Funeral services for Lonnie J. Hines Sr., 66, were held Sunday,
Nov. 7, at 3 p.m., in the Many First Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Perry Lassiter officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ray Penfield. Burial
was in the Jerusalem Cemetery, directed by the Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mr. Hines died Thursday, Nov. 4, in a Many hospital, after a short
illness.

  Survivors include his widow of Many; five sons, L. J. Hines, Jr. of
Benton, Ark., Lewis C. Hines, Frank S. Hines, James R. Hines, and Ralph
H. Hines, all of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Stanley,
Langly Air Force Base, Va.; and Miss Laureen Hines of Natchitoches;
one brother, L. L. Hines, Jr. of Pineville; one sister, Mrs. Velma
Obern of Jena; and five grandsons.
