Hammack, Sr. 3 Jul 1959 - Funeral services for Thomas W. Hammack, Sr., age 64, who passed away Saturday June 27, were held at the First Baptist church, Many at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28. Rev. V. R. Miller officiated. Interment was in the Many cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral home. Pallbearers were: Bob Clark, Leonard Fleming, Robert Eddington, John Skiner, Woodrow Nichols and Mickey Permenter. Survived by his widow, three sons, Tommy, Jr., of Logansport, John Donald of Ruston, Billy James of Monroe, and daughter, Dorothy Louise Lawrence of Many. Three sisters, Mrs. R. R. Bishop of DeQuincy, Mrs. Will Alwood, Aberdeen, Wash. and Mrs. H. H. Patterson of Shreveport, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Hammock was born at Jefferson, Texas; was a member of the First Baptist church of Many and veteran of World War I. He was a manager of Nichols Dry Goods stores for the past 24 years.
