Mrs. Hines was a native of Doyline and a former resident of Many. She was a retired high school teacheir at Many High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Natchitoches. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches with interment following at Jerusalem Cemetery in Many. The Rev. Jerry Penfield and the Rev. Ben Carter officiated. Survivors include five sons, L. J. Hines, Jr. of Hot Springs, Ark., Lewis C. Hines and Frank S. Hines, both of Natchitoches, James R. Hines of Paris, Texas and Ralph H. Hines of Converse; two daughters, Marilyn Stanley of Fort Worth, Texas and Laureen Whitley of Yorbalinda, Calif; one brother. Dr. M. J. Anderson of Lahabra, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie J. Hines, Sr; three, brother, Virgil Anderson, Dr. Howard Anderson and Reuben Anderson. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Steven Hines, John Stanley, Jr., Jason Hines, Randall Hines, Dustin Hines, Holly Hines, Robin King, Karen Hines, Pam Dehon, Tracey Flanery, Linda Foster, Zachary Whitley, Nicholas Whitley and Lindsay Whitley.
