  Mrs. Gladys Craig Hinkie - March 3, 1988

  Services for Mrs. Gladys Craig Hinkie, 77, of Converse were held
at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel
in Mansfield. The Rev. Jack Byrd of Heflin officiated. Burial was
at Springridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill.

  Mrs. Hinkie died Monday morning Feb. 29, 1988, in Shreveport
after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a member of
Midway Baptist Church.

  Mrs. Hinkie was preceded in death by her husband, Normice
Hinkie.

  She is survived by five sisters, Elizabeth Young of Pasadena,
Tx., Sylvia Johnson of Pelican, Grace Webster of Mitchell, Louise
Elliott of Pasadena, Tx., Louvie Richardson of Converse; one
brother, Luke Craig of Converse and several nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were her nephews.

  Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
