The funeral was held at 3 p.m., in New Cedron Baptist Church in Vowels Mill, with the Rev. Luther Despino officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera T. Honeycutt of Vowels Mill; one son, Charles W. Honeycutt of Robeline; two daughters, Lola Tahquechi of Lawton, Okla., and Yvonne Holland of Natchitoches; four sisters, Rosa Lott of DeRidder, Nora Singletary of Vowels Mill, Kate Montgomery of Bellwood, and Ida Spencer of Shreveport; two brothers, Frank Honeycutt of Alice, Texas, and Willie Honeycutt of Bellwood; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.
