All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Miss Jocelyn Brooke Hennigan Funeral services for Miss Jocelyn Brooke Hennigan, 18, of Natchitoches was held August 3, at 4 p.m., at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, with interment at the American Cemetery, immediately following the services, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation was Tuesday from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., with an 8 p.m. Rosary at the Funeral Home. Officiating the services were Rev. Sheldon Roy, Rev. Kenneth Roy, Rev. Wilbur Cloutier, and Rev. David Braquet. Brooke was born in Alexandria, La., on Dec. 3. Brooke was active in school, social, and church related activities. School honors include Miss Natchitoches Central High School, NCHS Homecoming Queen, Ms. Future Business Leader, FBLA Chapter President, and the Ruston Jaycees Scholarship. She was Natchitoches' current Miss Merry Christmas. Past honors include Miss Natchitoches Teen, Miss Dixie Gem II (Ruston Peach Teen Queen), President pro-tempore of the Natchitoches Mayor's Youth Council, and a member of Calico Belles. As a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Brooke was active in the local youth group, and visitation with the elderly. She was an instructor in the TEC Retreats (Teens Encounter Christ). Survivors include her parents, Margaret and Jim Kilcoyne of Natchitoches, and John and Sharon Hennigan of Ft. Hood, Tex.; sisters, Kelsey Mae Hennigan, and Ashley Rebecca Carter of Fort Hood, Tex.; brothers, John Roy (Trey) Hennigan III, and Clavord Sepulvado Hennigan from Natchitoches, and Robert Nathan Carter of Fort Hood, Tex.; grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Sepulvado of Boyce, Bonnie Hennigan of Castor, and Rosemary M. Kilcoyne of Metairie; great grandmother, Carmen G. Messina; great aunt, Catherine Martinez of Zwolle; great uncle, Murry Sepulvado of Zwolle; uncle, Captain Joseph Sepulvado of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; and a host of cousins. Pallbearers were Matt Taunton, Brandon Bernard, Vince Morgan, Delane Jenkins, Scotty Williams, Donald Rachal, Scooter Perot, Trey Lucky, Reggie Roberson, and Brandon Harrell. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the "Brooke Hennigan Santa House Memorial", at all five local financial institutions.
