The Rev. Grayson Glass, and Marian's grandson, the Rev. John Berry officiated. Mrs. Hansen was born January 30, 1902, in Montgomery, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bailey Sr. As a young teen, she moved to Galveston, Texas, and married Theodore F. Hansen. They were blessed with one daughter, Dora Lee. Mrs. Hansen was a member of the D.A.R. Margaret Montgomery Chapter of Conroe, Texas, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, and a member of First Baptist Church of Galveston. She devoted her life to the Lord, and took advantage of every opportunity to teach God's word. She taught Sunday School, the Fedelis class, Chapel Bible Study, G.A.'s, and many home Bible studies. Known for her kind and generous spirit, she always reached out to those in need. To her grandchildren, she was known as "Granny", and they loved to hear her sing and tell old stories. Mrs. Hansen moved to Pleasant Hill, and spent the last years of her life near her daughter and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose priority was serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; two brothers; and her husband, Captain Theo F. Hansen. She is survived by her daughter, Dora Lee Peacock and husband Willard Wayne of Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of North Sabine Nursing Home for their kindness, love, and compassion.
