J. B. Hunt

  Services for Mr. J. B. Hunt, 84, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday,
Dec. 5, in the Chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home in Mansfield. The
Rev. C. Cage officiated. Burial was at the Mary Springfield
Cemetery, Benson, La.

  Mr. Hunt, a native of Sabine Parish, and a lifelong resident of
the Benson Community in DeSoto Parish, La., died Friday, November
30, 1984, at the Doctors Hospital in Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Thomas Hunt; three sons,
Gary E. Hunt of Mansfield, Leon W. Hunt of St. Martinsville, La.,
Harold G. Hunt of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn H. Valore
of Shreveport; a son-in-law, Abram Valore, Jr.; three
daughters-in-law, Mrs. Jean B. Hunt, Mrs. Addis S. Hunt, and Mrs.
Doris B. Hunt; five grandchildren, Brenda J. Hunt, and Dawana R.
Hunt of Houston, Gregory T. Hunt, and Jeffrey B. Hunt of
Mansfield; four brothers, Ephraim Hunt of Berkley, Calif., L. B.
Hunt of Mansfield, Spergon Hunt of Oakland, Calif., Ferman Hunt
of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Marzella H. Jones, and Felicia H.
Boutte of Houston; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and
friends.

  Pallbearers were Robert Alford, Phomie Armstrong, Alphonse
Jackson, Jr., Percy Johnson, O. Z. McCraw, Bradley Pratt, Othella
Thomas, and Laurceen Woolridge.
