All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Alexander Trotter Hunt The man who founded the Hunt Lumber Co., Inc., which operated a sawmill in Zwolle, as well as sawmills in Danville, Dodson, Columbia, and Chatham, died Monday, Oct. 7, 1985, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services for the Ruston resident were at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11, in the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Ruston. The Reverends Robert E. Bell, and J. W. Lipscomb officiated. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston. Hunt had served as president of the Southern Pine Association, and was a member of the board of directors of the First National Bank of Ruston, and of Louisiana Bank and Trust Co. in Shreveport. He is survived by his wife, Alverne Davis Hunt; his three sons, Virgil Davis Hunt, Alexander Trotter Hunt Jr., and Thomas Morgan Hunt; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
