All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Alma Andries Hunter Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Andries Hunter, 78, of Shreveport, were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Many. Msgr. Larouqe, and Msgr. John C. Vandegaer officiated at the Mass. Burial was under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Shreveport. Mrs. Hunter died suddenly, Friday, Aug. 1, at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport. A native of Many, Mrs. Hunter had resided in Shreveport since 1924. She was a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include her husband, W. M. Hunter; one daughter, Mrs. F. J. Pearce, both of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Gandy of Many; three brothers, H. W. Andries, and H. A. Andries, both of Many, and T. L. Andries of Jackson, Miss.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Anne Burkett; and one great grandson, Win Burkett; and one great granddaughter, Deidre Burkett, all of San Antonio, Tex. Pallbearers were nephews, Bill Andries, Mike Andries, Tommy Joe Andries, Jim Bob Gandy, Pat Gandy, and Richard Maines.
