Henderson - February 18, 1988 Services for Mr. Phoenix A. Henderson, 72, of Converse, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the Fellowship Baptist Church near Converse. The Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral home in Mansfield. Mr. Henderson died Monday, Feb. 8, 1988, at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport after a brief illness. He was retired as a production foreman for Cities Service. He was an active member of Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 252 in Converse for over 50 years, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church near Converse. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn E. Henderson of Converse; a daughter, Mary Nell Pazzaglia of Bossier city; two sons, Nash Henderson of Rockport, Tx. and Jack A. Henderson of Keithville, a sister, Agnes Lucille Hoffman of Averill Park, NY; two brothers, Dr. R. C. Looney of Lake Charles and Benjamin M. Looney of Highlands, Tx; three step-sons, Larry Garcie, Mike Garcie and Joseph Ray Garcie, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edward Burnett, Odell Grice, David Winchester, Quinton Spillyards, Jim Pazzaglia and Looney Jackson. Honorary pallbearers members of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 252 of Converse. Memorials may be made to the America Cancer Society.
