Joel Wade Henderson

  Services for Joel Wade Henderson, 19, were held at 10 a.m.,
Friday, October 6, at the Rose-Neath Homer Chapel. Officiating
was the Rev. Bentley Masingill, assisted by the Rev. Charles
Harlon. Graveside service was at 3 p.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery
near Converse.

  Mr. Henderson died Wednesday, October 4, at LSU Medical Center
in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. He was a student and
a Baptist.

  He is survived by his mother, Roxanne Odom of Homer; his father,
Jack Arden Henderson of Magnolia, Texas; grandmother, Lorraine
Brian of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Robin Ann Hanson of
Springhill; one brother, Jack Arden Henderson II of Homer; one
niece, Brookie Henderson of Springhill.

  The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Hospital.
