All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Thurrel Henderson Thurrel Henderson, 26, and Donald Ray Lopez, 24, both of Zwolle, died this week, from injuries received in an automobile accident on Hwy 171 in Zwolle, about midnight on Saturday. Jimmy Meshell and Glenn Henderson, also of Zwolle, were injured. The car they were riding in, driven by Meshell, failed to negotiate a curve, left the highway, and hit a parked car. The four men were rushed to the Sabine Clinic. Henderson and Lopez were sent on to a Shreveport hospital, where they died. Funeral services for Lopez were held April 13, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle, with the Rev. Robert C. Friend officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lopez; a brother, Roger Lopez; a sister, Janice Lopez, all of Zwolle. Funeral services for Henderson were held April 14, at the First Baptist Church of Zwolle, with the Rev. Walter Ledford officiating. Burial was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. T. L. Henderson; three daughters, Dianne, Kathy, and Sonja; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Henderson, all of Zwolle; and three brothers, Ivy Lee Henderson of Ft. Benning, Ga., Olan Dean Henderson of Lampac, California, and Cecil Glenn of Zwolle.
